Position Status List

Throughout the faculty search process, the position status must be updated. All faculty searches, regardless of the type of position or academic unit, have the same position statuses. A listing of each position status, its description, and when this status is changed is explained in the table below.

Position Status	Description	Status Change
Position Pending Approval	Position is being updated or reviewed by the search committee manager. Applications are not being accepted at this time.	Default status upon creation from Workday.
Accepting Applications	Applications are being accepted by the committee for the position.	Changed by the Search committee chair or designee when the position is ready to publish.
Applications Under Review	Applications are being reviewed by the search committee. Applicants cannot view this status, and they cannot update their materials during this stage.	Changed by the Search committee chair or designee when applications are going to be reviewed by the search committee.
Interviews in Progress	A shortlist of applicants is being evaluated through interviews and/or campus visits. Search committee members can continue to evaluate applicants. Applicants cannot view this status, and they cannot update their materials during this stage.	Changed by the Search committee chair or designee when the search committee is beginning initial interviews or campus visits.
Position Filled	The position has been filled. Search committee members cannot evaluate applicants. Applicants can view this status and cannot update their materials.	Changed by the Search committee chair or designee once an applicant accepts a position. This is a valid option for a position when a position is closed within Interfolio.
Position Cancelled	The position has been cancelled and will not be filled. Search committee members cannot evaluate applicants. Applicants can view this status and cannot update their materials.	Changed by the Search committee chair or designee if the faculty search has been cancelled. This is a valid option for a position when a position is closed within Interfolio.
