Effectively promoting a faculty position is essential to attracting a strong, diverse applicant pool. This stage involves leveraging both University-supported advertising channels and discipline-specific outreach to ensure broad visibility and alignment with the goals of your academic unit.

Advertising Supported by Human Resources

The human resources recruiter will post the position to Diverse Jobs, Higher Ed Jobs, Indeed, Inside Higher Ed, and LinkedIn. In addition, hiring managers may also request their human resources recruiter to coordinate additional promotional opportunities, such as:

Advertising Within a Discipline

Hiring managers, search committee chairs, and search committee members may wish to post the URL for the open position on their LinkedIn pages or on other discipline-specific websites or listservs. 

HR Recruitment can assist with posting paid job advertisements, charged back to your department, if budget allows, on discipline-specific sites.
